Another week went by...

Thursday was a crappy day at work but I did stand up for myself, now wish I had said more and should have said how I really feel about it! But coming home to this was a nice pick me up !

I got this for my fiend Doris to put a smile on her face, she got her bathroom all decked out in Giraffes

Finally the Seahorses are going and the popcorn ceiling too!
it will be a few weeks before we actually get started but my hubby had two days off from work and I have a long Honey -Do-List!

The Encrusted RR Block

This is the block I finished for Margreet in the Netherlands, I noticed when I got it that two blocks had some lilac in it but it was the next morning when I actually could see that the fabric had a little purple .I had fun with adding to this block, love the Encrusted style!

and here are the four finished blocks in this Encrusted DYB RR for Margreet!

My refinishing Project!

We bought this little bench in Germany 18 years ago, I decided to just repaint it and got the two striped pillows on sale at Wal Mart because while shopping in Butzbach Germany this year I found these two green Gnome pillows and had to bring them home  them with me!

Todays accomplishments

We had a four day weekend but the days went by so quickly and it`s back to work tomorrow. This morning I made these.....
I found this on face book, yummy! Next time have to double the amount and maybe use coconut in it.

Pecan Pie Cupcakes

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
... 1 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 eggs

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.

Spray a miniature muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. (The spray with flour in it works best!)

Fill each 3/4 full.

Bake in preheated oven for approx 18 minutes.

NOTE: Generously spray your pan with cooking spray with flour. Once they come out of the oven let them cool for one minute then flip them out onto a cooling rack. If they cool in the pan they'll have to be chiseled out.
Do not over fill!
Last year I spray painted my furniture but because it was outside all year it showed a lot of wear. I decided not to paint it at this time but instead make Shabby Chic my theme. This was cheaper all pillows on sale!
