Since my last post.....

Yes it has been a while but now I am getting a few things updated.

  I crochet this little basket and added some lace on the outside and a liner on the inside

 Streusel Kuchen made with a lot of heavy cream poured over the  baked cake

 My 2014 Weather blanked finished !

 and our new Foster baby Lana hope hubby lets me keep her !

New shawl finished

Since I still have not found a new job , thanks to the Old Fu... I have worked for , I had time to knit a Sixtysstyle shawl out of yarn from my basket . Some is 25 years old and I love the combination of knit and crochet !  I would like to try the socks , loop and fingerless gloves to ! looks like more fun and since I will be using what I have at home it will be colorful !

I used Sock yarn and needle size 6

Tow more shawls finished

I have finished two more shawls since I have joined another knitting and crochet group on FB . 

 I used varigated yarn from turkey , orange wool from the US and green bamboo from China a gift for my friend Doris , pattern is from here:http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sonnentau

I used yarn from Germany not sure how old it is but decided to knit till all the yarn was gone and so I did . it is 260 cm on the top .added tassels and thats it .

Sky scarf is finished

As I was knitting the end of August on my sky scarf I realized that I had to stop and be done with it . It was long enough but most of all it got to be heavy because of the big glass beads I used for rainy days, so here it is all done ! Started January 1 of 2014 and ended August 31 of 2014.

End of the month up dates

 This is my weather blanked end of may, long enough and with 7 month left to work on it not sure how I will continue at this point.

Breakfast and updates

As of today I have my end of the month (three month ) up date for my sky scarf and my weather blanket.

 the kids are still sleeping and to not make any noise I just grabbed this bag of yummy`s for breakfast !

 I decided to use different colors of beads for the rainy days

 You can tell it is getting warmer ! 10 days of snow in the last three month ,symbolized by the white yarn .

More things finished last week....

these are so quick to make and just perfect for leftover yarns.

I just used a single crochet stitch and used two strands of yarns for each .

This is a little throw I made with some leftover yarn from my little dolls that are on their way to Germany, I want to use up all of my stash this year ( wishful thinking) I had to take a picture on my deck in the snow with bare foot feet !

End of month up dates

To finish January one row of white because we actually got snow this morning ! I measure the temperature every morning and crochet one row according to my color plan.

 and as my Sky scarf grows we can see one day of rain on the bottom where I used the clear beads and three days of snow which the last one was this morning. I can`t wait and see what next month will bring. As of today I have used 3shades of gray, 2 shades of blue ,white for clouds and off cream colored mohair for snow .

Another finished project !

I had joined a FB online group to make little dolls for children in a cancer clinic and a group home for mentally and physically handicapped children . I decide to make a pair and named them Haensel and Gretel !

 I used the same yarn to embroider the face

  yes she got a little skirt and a bow

 just to much fun to make them now it`s time to mail them to Germany to put a smile on a child`s face !
