And another one is started

After I had finished the green and lilac sleevshawl my sister in law wanted one too, so I went looking for the perfect color for her request. Pattern is from Drops as seen here:

Knitting up date

As you can see this is the back of the sleevshawl. It does cover the open back of the dress and any imperfections you might have. I`m not saying you have any Doris !

On this picture you can see how  the upper part of her  arms are well covert and as this will be worn at 6.30 at night on the beach in Hawaii in November for a wedding it will be the perfect combination of light and airy, still working on making adjustments to the dress as you can see the pins are showing.

 Well this is MINE!

My dear friend Doris was modeling the Aermelschal I made in green for her and the lilac is all mine!

Two snowballs are ready to be mailed

I had so much fun with these little pieces . I just could not decide if I should make one Autumn and one Halloween Snowball so the easy way out was to combine the themes Alice had chosen.

Maybe a little bright but the Pumpkins had to be shown in their full glory!

Alice asked for Autumn / Halloween Snowballs. I`m not sure if that's what she had in mind but it is what she is getting!

More Crazyquilting

Yes two of the flowers where in pieces when it arrived.Thank you to the Postoffice for this!

I love this little girl ,what a wonderful snowball made just for me  by Nicki Lee,thank you !

Knitting update

A  small cable and embroidered flowers finished the Socks for a very speacial young woman.

Here is the second pair of socks I finished ,they are made for  Doris who requested red Socks. I used a stretch yarn from Germany because Doris is a Diabetic I wanted to make sure the cuff is not to tight. With some Russel Stovers Chocolate and Jelly beans this  will be another gift for a member  in a Group Home in Germany for the Mentally Handicapped.

Sunday cake

As you can see I just could not wait for it to cool off, oh no I ate it steaming hot!

Apples from our garden, cooked in sugar, white wine and a little cinnamon, placed on a simple yeast dough. The topping is Chobani yogurt made just like a German cheese cake.
