I finally finished Lisa's Encrusted Block. She had asked for a Rose Garden and here is what I have done.First added the silky with ribbon and trim on top of it. Hand dyed lace ,velvet ribbon, beading glass leaf`s and button Roses on the left side.On the lower left I made simple Spider Web Roses, followed by Cast on Roses a first for me.On the upper left I started with velvet leaf`s and added Folded Roses,Concertina Roses and little Friendship Roses ,beads and a small Rose cameo with beading for the finishing touch. This was another block that was fun to work on.

This is a close up of the word "Friend "on Megs wonderful Block. Meg lives in Uruguay and is a member of the CQI Group I belong to.Her Block has warm colors and it was very easy to work on it ,I can`t wait to see what will be added to it.

This morning I took pictures of Meg`s block. This is an Asian RR and Meg wanted a Arabian theme on her block. The paisley was very easy to come up with ,so was my choice of colors. The seam treatments took me a little longer to decide on. The use of the blue velvet ribbon, beads and metallic thread was a lot of fun. Then I went searching the Internet for Arabic words and found what I was looking for .So I embroidered the word Friend for her.
