Socks for my youngest son, he picks the yarn and gets Nikes to match !

This is my work for Susan, her theme is Victorian.

I just enjoyed working on this block, it was a challenge with the choice of fabrics .

These are part of my Indian themed quilt, just waiting now for all my India blocks to come back home so I can finish it !

My new India Block is traveling

This will be the center block for my 12 DYB blocks
I decided to keep the colors all together so the center block has one color in each corner .This way I can put my 3 blocks of each color around it as my border. My block is now on its way to Janet in the United Kingdom and I hope she will have some fun with it!

Africa Block finished

This was the last block I had to work on in this RR it belongs to Sarma in Oklahoma. She was able to buy her fabrics while she was in Africa and I loved her choice of color and design.

close up  of the top Rick- Rack seam treatment with Elephant charm

Left side the colorful ribbon was a gift and I added some wood beads

The block did need a Shield and it was fun to make it! some lace and beads as seam next to the Giraffe charm. I loved the blocks and cant wait to see what Sarma will make out of them.

This is a new one

I was online this morning at Chefkoch.DE for some new  recipes, this is the first on called Lecker Schlecker Brot it is really good !
350 grams of Whole wheat flour
650 grams of plain flour
1 Pack of dry yeast
1 table spoon of salt
650ml slightly warm water
mix, let rise for one hour, bake at 480 for 30 minutes (cover if it gets to dark) turn down to 350 for another 30 minutes and it should be just perfect after a total of 1 hour baking . I do not put a water bowl in my oven, instead I have a spray bottle and spray the bread every 15 minutes gives a nice crust!

I did a random shopping trip yesterday and was able to bring home these two bottle stoppers and a 24 inch snail!

Not sure what I will do with this Bird Magnifying Glass but I loved the way it looked and it might comes in handy one of these days.
