End of month up dates

To finish January one row of white because we actually got snow this morning ! I measure the temperature every morning and crochet one row according to my color plan.

and as my Sky scarf grows we can see one day of rain on the bottom where I used the clear beads and three days of snow which the last one was this morning. I can`t wait and see what next month will bring. As of today I have used 3shades of gray, 2 shades of blue ,white for clouds and off cream colored mohair for snow .

Anything Goes Block for Nicki Lee

This is the block after I had worked on the upper right corner with the lace as a seam treatment and the little crochet flowers to enhance the seam.

She is completed with flower in her hair and take out box!

Who said there is no  Asian Bling ? You better believe it there is such thing ! Nicki Lee loves lace and bling so here I decided to add the bling to show of the Pagoda charm.
I had so  much fun with this block !

Embroidery

This is the block I received before Christmas and it had been a work in progress till I received these  little hand crochet flowers. They were made by a old German lady that had just passed away . She was in her late 80`s and I`m not sure when she had worked on them.
I loved the block made by Nicki Lee but was surprised to see how little was done to it by the last two members that worked on it.

First I finished this little girl

these are the flowers I got from Miss Ruth in Georgia after she passed away
and here you can see how I added them to  enhance ( cover) a seam treatment done by one of the  stitchers before me .

Finally here package from Germany

I had ordered some more Duvet covers from Pip Studio from the Netherlands, just love the colors ,design and Fabric !

Updates on my sky scarf and Granny Squares

So far the Sky scarf is coming along nicely, I am still waiting on two more colors of yarn to come. I knit two rows per day according to the color of the sky.

For the German Group I signed up for we are making a weather blanket. One of the members is terminally ill and might not get to finish her blanket, so we as the group make each one Granny Square to make a blanket for her which will be for one of her daughters. I decided to mail out the Kansas  Sunflower with the guardian Angel Charm !

Ja, this is a very catchy thing made a few more squares and I know there are more to come !

A new knitting project started

I was up till three this morning waiting for my son to call letting me know he  made it home safe.  I could not work on my sweater jacket because it was in the bed room with my hubby fast asleep . http://www.die-wolllust.de/shop/
So I decided to start a new shawl. Looking at all the easy patterns I could find and ended up with Antonia by Birgit Freyer. Pattern as always at her shop in several languages.
