Asian II block

This is a picture of Peggy`s Asian Block. She wanted anything Asian and so I embroidered the Japanese "Peace "first and added my seam treatments in the same color as the upper right corner fabric. I did not want to work on the fan ,but after I placed the Koi`s a just finished the fan with ton on ton seam treatment, added SRE and placed my Dragon Charm . More seam treatment in purple and beads and pearls to finish the whole block. It was fun to do and so looking forward to the next one.

Another Quiltie received

Today I had this little Spring quiltie in my mail box.It was a swap from the Art 4 Mail Group and as you can see it was a Spring theme.Michele from NY made this little Gem.

Baking German Cakes

My boy`s invited their friends to our house for a small get together. I made Quark on Thursday for my German Cheese Cake. Last night I baked Bienenstich and it was so good, felt like home.This morning I just made a German potato salad and as always tortellini salad. My husband had marinated steaks, rib's and chicken breast yesterday and this morning at 5 he put a big pork butt in the oven for 7 hours.It was a wonderful day with our Children and friends. I`m a little tired and thank full to have a dishwasher.

My lucky day

As you all remember I still needed something to hang my towels on for my new downstairs bath room. Today I went to Pier 1 and in the sales corner these little hooks caught my eye . It is just perfect for the small wall and I`m glad I got 2 to fill the space to the door.What do you think?

My summer quiltie

This is was I made for the summer quiltie swap.Sommer rose is made with lace,yarns,wool rovings and ribbon on one half of the quiltie used my felting machine to tack it down.Then I machine quilted the other half first before I embroidered a silk ribbon rose with vines. Added pearls and beads and she was done.

Art 4 mail swap

Vicky`s summer quiltie came all the way from Canada in the mail today.She made front and back look good.

More new duvet covers

This morning I changed my bed to the second new set of Duvet covers I got from Germany. I love that this jersey is very soft and has zippers.

A little gift

This is a little jewelry box I just finished.First worked all my seam treatments with silk threads ,made my little 3-D flowers sewed down some velvet leaves ,added charms and beads, a glass button and a small tatted lace.Took me all day but it is done and I love it.
