More Socks

This will be a pair for myself. My Mom brought the yarn with her from Germany and  I have enough yarn left for another pair. To knit socks is just perfect if I want something easy where I don't have to look and think of what I`m doing.

Anything goes Block finished

Just a quick post about this sweet little block I have finished. Misty wanted  to have flowers, water, moon and  stars on it. So I tried to put as much of it on the block as I could. The colors where a little darker and so I did not want to add anymore to it then what was given in the block. I had fun with the beading and hand painted the little blue flower lace.I hope she will like it.I had a blast working on this block.

I`m totally exited my Wisteria is blooming for the first time. I have had them for two years now and was looking forward to it. I had no clue that they also have a wonderful smell to them.

A new pair

Plain pair of socks for my Dad.This was my first pair knitted in rounds .
I was not sure how they would turn out but the pattern is easy to follow and my socks fit pretty well. I have started another pair and hope to finish them in a few days.

Another block finished

I used the design on the fabric for my Inspiration, added more fairies because you can never have to many of them and a couple of birds to finish my work. This was another fun one to work on.

My parents have been here for a week now and I don`t have as much time for my sewing for now. So I`m glad to have finished this little Fairy Block for Peggy Sue.

This has just been delivered

My new lace yarn just made it in time for me to start a wonderful shawl at the Knitting Delight Group.I do love the softness of the cashmere and the  bright colors.I sould be cleaning the house, but look at this yarn, where are my needles?

Finished!

She is done! This is a little shawl called Pimpelliese,I used two different shades of green sock wool, very easy pattern and quickly knitted up.

Not sure if she will be mine or if Pimpelliese will go to Germany when my mom goes back home.

It is Thursday, I`m off today to finish cleaning and rearranging the house to get it ready for my parents. I`m so exited ,I have not seen them for 3 years. So just wanted to post a few pictures of my finished shawl.

My first Lace shawl is done!

This was a find while looking at blogs , the pattern is called Bottom up Birch . Looking back I had started it on Saturday February the 19 and just finished it yesterday. Since this was my first I was very lucky to be a member of a group called Knitting Delight. The Ladies where awesome sharing their secrets on how to block and what to use and I will need to invest in a few more supplies for my new found hobby.

The width on the top is 90 inches, it is light as a feather.

the close up of the pattern

I `m in love with Lace knitting, after I failed at my first attempt last year I decided to try it again and using smaller needles made all the difference. No big holes as before but it took a little to get use to the thin yarn. All this time invested was time well spent, I love my shawl.
