Since my last post.....

Yes it has been a while but now I am getting a few things updated.

  I crochet this little basket and added some lace on the outside and a liner on the inside

I almost forgot to show you my Berliner and

 these are so good used dark chocolate for myself and milkchocolate for my hubby , soaked my can of tart cherries after  it was drained in Rum and Sugar overnight, melted the chocolate and put one teaspoon in the plastic mold from the Toffefee container , one cherry placed and covered with more chocolate ! yup It is awesome !

Last weekends BBQ

So much fun!

 I baked my favorite Schwarzwaelder Kirsch - Black Forest Cake, a Banana Torte, Fruit cake and Hummel Kuchen , a plain cake which got almonds ,sugar and heavy cream as a topping

 I made Cheese/ Quark to bake my German Cheese Cake

 it was awesome !

As always this bread just bakes wonderfully in my Dutch oven, Oats and Pumpkin seed

  Made Maultaschen ,a Noodle dumpling filled with ground beef and spinach , boiled first, cooled, sliced  and than fried with eggs  and our German potato salad

 and here is todays best ever Knoedel made out of bread, cheese and spinach

 Mushrooms, spring onion and heavy cream sauce

 it was finger licking good !

 just realizing I must be homesick with all this German - actually Schwabian Food! specialty from the Stuttgart -my Hometown -Baden Wuerttemberg Region !

Christmas cookies and German Cheese cake

I have started to make German Christmas cookies and Cheesecake. Since it is very hard to get Quark here for my cake I just made my own.

Kokosmacronen-Coconut macaroons

4 containers of butter milk in the oven for 2 hours at 200degrees 

 strain for 2 hours

after mixing and baking ready to eat!

New supplies, cake and sewing

I have been home for almost three weeks now and have gained 8 pounds. So this morning the contractor did not show, my new supplies came in and I did set my new sewing area up. To make myself feel better I baked a plum cake and now I`m just waiting for it to cool a little.

  I used the last two cans of plums I bought at Aldi last year just bought a whole new pallet of them last week.

Todays work

I made my bread first and then the Apple sauce cake. Bread is awesome ,cake not so much, the apple sauce is just to runny taste was not bad.

My first Banana Bread ever!

This is my first banana bread, the one in the back has chocolate chips in it and the one in the front is with almonds, walnuts and cranberry`s.

  I got this lemon tree last year and I`m so happy to see these lemons grow !
