Homemade Bratwurst
It has been a busy week. My youngest son turned 21! You know what that makes me. To celebrate we went to Kansas City to Fogo de Chao for dinner on Saturday. It was such a lovely day spent with my husband and both of my sons. Before dinner we had stoped at a butcher where I bought fresh pork bellie, casing and allot more meat and sausage`s.So today we made our first Bratwurst with Jalapenos. They are not ready to taste as I`m posting this but here are some pictures of the ones to get frozen and the ones cooking in the oven. I will write later how they tasted.

New Books and a Magazine
This year I wanted to save money ,use only supplies I have and use fabrics from my stash. It is not happening! Not only did I sign up for a silk and ribbon buy at my favorite group ICQ,but I also ordered some more books. My seam treatments are not to be compared to most well known CQ Royalty so here I had to have Carol Samples book it is full with wonderful designs and I hope to make use of it on my next blocks.
.I fell in love with Stump work when the more advanced Lady's of our group worked on their RR,so here are the Jane Nicholas books I bought.
On the Quilt art List was talk about Patricia Winters new Magazine so it was another must have. This one came with a surprise inside,Miss Gerry Krueger is a member of our group and she had a full page of her work published. How wonderful to see also Rengin Yazitas and Maureen Greeson`s work in this Magazine.
Getting ready for Spring
My new Butterfly Bench in front of the House is ready for my mom and dad`s arrival.I hope they will enjoy it this summer.
To early for Easter decoration?I don`t think so,I`m just getting started. My lucky find yeaterday was this lovely metal vase .
The weather is not cooperating and we should see more snow this week again.I`m so ready for Spring and sunshine.Yesterday I put my new solar lights out and the little red Iron bench. Still waiting on my new red mailbox. Yes this year I will add a lot of red to my house, garden and flower pots.
