Just eating Breakfast

I have been up since 3.30 am and decided to make a Lentil soup-Linseneintopf and I`m eating it now for breakfast.Also did 5 loads of laundry and I`m now ready to take a nap.

Block for Ritva

This Tone on Tone block is for Ritva in Finland. She said a little color was O.K. and so I added Black and I do love the look of it. I hope she likes what I did. Lots of beading some antique lace and a little stitching with charms. I had fun with it and it was hard to stop and say it`s done!

Just jumped of the needles

Sarah will get these gloves to go with the scarf I made her 2 years ago.

These are my first Fingerless gloves .

Another Block is finished

This is Carols block, it is all finished and in the envelope ready to be mailed out. She will turn her blocks into a wall hanging set with black ribbon ,it will be lovely.I hope she likes what I did for her.

Sonntags Kuchen-Sunday`s Cake

This is a Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Cake. It is still cooling so I will go and take a nap .I will let you know later how tasty it is.

Monday`s Dinner

Paprika Gulasch

Semmelknoedel made as one big Knoedel,even better cut in slices  and  fried in butter the next day  to a nice golden brown.

Double chocolate with fresh raspberries  and black berries from the garden

My boy`s will be here tonight for dinner and I decided to cook tomorrows dinner today so my kids can take it home and have a meal ready when they com home from work tomorrow night.

Just of the Needle

This is my own made up design.

The yarn pattern did not line up exactly but I`m O.K. with that little design flaw.

My first pair of socks with a small cable design on the side.Now I will go and look for a pattern I have saved for some time and see if I can get more adventures in knitting socks

I just loved this theme block and the owner Darlene requested nothing modern, more a little antique, so I placed some lace,with beading and embroidered the silk ribbon basket on top of a seam that was frayed..The woodland creatures needed to be on this block so the owl and rabbit charm got their spot on this lovely block.

Autumn RR

I  have always enjoyed Fall, so here is another RR from the traditional blocks I have signed up for.

I love Roses! How could I not sign up for this traditional block RR. They bloom in my garden,white ,pink,rose ,pale peach and yellow.So here is my naked Block,ready to go.

Is it snowing?

My dear husband is my hand model and he did very well for his first time,thank you honey .

No it is not snowing but I have started to knit  my Christmas gifts for this year.So here is the first one done.Gloves ,yes this was my first pair and I will have to make more and change a few things that I did  not like about the pattern.They do fit well and it was something different to work on.

Candji`s DYB Tone on Tone Block

One of my favorites is the Tone on Tone Blocks. I made mine cream on cream and so did Candji. It was a easy choice on what to do. First I added a crochet Napkin ring that was made by my friend Dorise's grandma in Germany. On top of it I placed a little round Tenariffa lace .A very plain seam treatment and a whole lot of flowers and beads. I do like the way it came together and I hope that Candji likes it too.
