I`m a bad girl

This pattern is called Pimpelliese ,it is very easy to knit I know it will be a nice  wool shawl when it is done.The little edge is knitted right along with the rest of the pattern.

My mom and Dad will be here in 6 days and I Should be cleaning the house. last night I decided to start a new shawl instead. It is a very easy pattern and should not take to long to finish, I really wanted to start with the dark green silk I just got yesterday but it was so hard to get a start to roll up the yarn into a ball. The silk is not as easy to work with as I had hoped and even wearing gloves did not help much. So it will have to wait till I`m up for a challenge.

What a treat ,wonderful colors, great shine and so soft. Silk in laceweight for my next knitting adventure,it will be another lace shawl as a mysterie KAL at my german knitting group.

More Finished CQ Blocks

This is my finished bock for Diane M. It is part of the Tone on Tone DYB RR. I have always loved green and with orange and yellow blocks to choose from it took me a day to finally pick the green one. Rick-Rack and beads with a spider,butterfly,turtle and finished it with swimming fish.

The finished Block for Cathy K. in the Autumn DYB RR.This was the last block for this RR and I`m ready to start a new round .

Two done more to go. I really love these little blocks. It is just so much fun to work on a block and see how it fills up and to think of something new  to add. Always looking for something speacial .

My first attempt of Matchbox Art.First I decided on my color got some felt and used my Felting attachement to work wool roving, yarn and organza ribbon into the felt. A little hand embroidery  and beads sewn on,ironed 2 sided fusible and cut it to size. Then ironed it onto my Matchbox, decided to use some micro beads in green and silver on it ,added my hand made Frog Charm and ready to go.

Another Block on the move

This Autumn themed block is on it`s way to Ritva in Finland.I love the fabrics she uses for her wonderful blocks.I had just received the lace and I knew it had to go on this block,a little seam treatment with beads and colorful velvet autumn leaves with a gem brought it all together.

My computer had some major problems and it cost me a large container of Lasagna to have it fixed.My son came by yesterday after work and I`m glad that he was able to get this mess all straightened out.So now I can post again .

Crazy Quilting finishing up this Autumn RR

I almost forgot to post a picture of this Autumn Block. It will go home to Nebraska and as you can see the owner used  a wonderful Farm scene as the focal point of her block.

Just in from Japan

This is my surprise gift from Sarah. She had to hand carry it from Japan .

What a nice surprise. I did not expect this wonderful Tea set in my favorite colors Blue and White.Thank you so much Sarah,I know my son has picked the 'Right One"!

Today we are having a Welcome Home BBQ for Sarah, my sons girlfriend. She has been in Tokyo for the last 6 month in school and we are all just happy to have her back.
