Not much to show today

After cleaning the house a little this morning I decided to make a simple dishcloth. I still have plenty of yarn and while the weather is as crappy as it is right now it is just the perfect thing to work on while watching movies and waiting for hubby to make dinner.

I started to clean up and organize my studio last night so I can be more creative and hopefully be able to find what I`m looking for. I hope to piece my February CQJP block after dinner just in case we have another snow day tomorrow.

What to do when you are snowed in?

I made my dough and it rested for about 30 minutes

 onto my cutting board

 ready to scrape into the water

 swimming on top and done!

I used 200gramms of whole wheat flour

300 grams of regular flour, 4 eggs, 1 tbl.spoon salt and about 375 ML of water,mix well ,let rest for about 30 minutes and start scraping into boiling salted water ,the noodles are done when swimming on top .

Time to clean up

 I have been very creative for the last five,six weeks and have all but one item finished. Now it is time to put it all back or maybe not? No better day then a snow day! First a little nap?

 

Still have all weekend to clean up !First I need to make some dinner since my husband was called into work because of an emergency. Gulasch is on the stove ,got to make my nudle dough and cucumber salad with homemade yoghurt sauce! Wonder how many Brownie points I get for this?

Not like any other snowday

We have more then the reported 6 inches by now and it is not stopping .

All about stretching myself and learning

I was to work on something completely different today but instead decided to make this little piece for a swap with Laurie .I have never embroidered a bird before so this Humming bird was my first and I had a blast doing it,  there will be  more to come.

Baking Sunday

 My friend Sylvia sent this little gem from Germany last year,so it was time to use it.Plum Marmalade.

 My Godmother Ilse knew how much I love any kind of Knoedel-Dumpling so when  the tiny book arrived I was looking at it for days and today was it`s day.

 My big Dinner soup plate says it all, melted butter over the Germknoedel-Yeast dumpling filled with the plum marmalade,sugar and poppy seed on top and off you go.

 The plum marmalade is just using out the way it should be!

I was so happy that after baking my husbands favorite Peach Streussel cake and baking Baguette lunch rolls for the next two weeks I decided to try this, I did not finish cleaning the rest of my kitchen as planned but who is going to come and check?
