Finished!

I was so excited to start my new coat that I had to finish the scarf for my friend Doris real quick.

Yes I did , I worked very late last night and washed it , blocked it and now just waiting for it to dry!

My new Winter Coat Arrived

I`m so happy the yarn for my new Winter Coat arrived from Turkey! Just took 4 days to get here with DHL. I have to finish my last project a scarf for my friend Doris before I can start so here I go knit,knit,knit....

 It is exactly the color I was going for Petrol-Peacock!

Christmas gift finished in time and baked goods

Last night I had finished my Coconut Macaroons and Chocolate chip/Pecan Banana Bread

 This morning I baked this mandarin cake as  tonight`s dinner dessert

 I made these fingerless gloves for my sons girlfriend as a Christmas gift and just finished them in time to get them in the gift bag before she gets here!

Snow,snow and more snow

As you can see we had plenty of snow last yesterday and last night.

This is Number two

So this is my second one, done today, so easy and fun to knit! My friend Doris and I went shopping yesterday and she bought awesome yarn for me to use and make a set with scarf for her!

 We have about 6 inches by now in our driveway.

I made this one as a gift , finished it today, signed and  dated it , made sure

it has my handmade charm on it and wrapped it up.

More cookies and new Yarn

  Just finished my first load of these seedless Raspberry Jelly filled cookies-Spitzbuben. More to make tomorrow, glad I was able to get a start on them today.

 I was so happy to get this selection of lace yarn, ready to start a new shawl maybe the light orange with dark blue? Or use all four shades of the blue?

 I finished my Donna Rocco Shawl this morning while Hubby was driving us to breakfast and a little shopping at Lowes in Salina. All I have to do is clean all the threads , wash it and make sure I block it right !

2014 Crazy Quilt Retreat in Kansas City

I have been feeling down a little lately, not working , gaining weight  and a few other things now with Christmas coming I get more homesick then ever. I went shopping yesterday and found a few supplies, beads and  three books. I enjoy small designs I can cross stitch onto the CQ blocks and this book is just perfect for it . The other book is also what I was just looking for,  now trying to see which one I will use first! So when I told my wonderful hubby about the 2014 Retreat in Kansas City for the Crazy quilting group I`m a member of online he just said go I will pay for it, I cant wait to meet all the Ladies!

 

New Bathroom up date

I finally received the vanity tray. Now we just need to finish the heater in the ceiling, put up shelf's and get the frame less glass shower doors.

Christmas cookies and German Cheese cake

I have started to make German Christmas cookies and Cheesecake. Since it is very hard to get Quark here for my cake I just made my own.

4 containers of butter milk in the oven for 2 hours at 200degrees 

 strain for 2 hours

after mixing and baking ready to eat!

In the mail to Tahlia

I made this oversized snowball for Tahlia . She asked for 4x6 post card size , do whatever I want and I did. I used one of my favorite color combinations, green and blue, made sure I had enough beads , some SR embroidery, lace, velvet and rick rack trim, a butterfly applique and satin leafs . This one was all about seam treatments , the Turkish Oyas and my little heart button with Edelweiss.

We had a lot going on the last few weeks, our son moving in with us, still remodeling, getting new cars, taking part in a Mystery KAL and Life!

 our new car , we had to get one small enough to fit into the smaller side of the garage it is the Chevy Equinox.

 I wanted more light and had these six pot lights put in

 while shopping for crown molding the fridge caught my eye was $700 off original price

 My hubby wanted this little heater, it is really nice took it even to the bed room!

 Made Quark in the oven ,4 liters of buttermilk made a  little over 2 pounds .

 strained and added a little heavy cream

 it was awesome !

 found it on sale ! and that's all for today , dinner is in the works and I will finish my last embroidery project for this year.
